Joust - NES

Joust is an action-adventure NES game that brings the arcade-style ostrich-riding combat game to Nintendo’s 8-bit console. The game centers on hyperspace knights battling aliens from the saddle of a space ostrich, with survival depending on knocking enemies off before they strike first.

• Cleaned, tested, and guaranteed to play. Authentic cartridge.
• Arcade-style action built around aerial positioning, timing, and enemy collisions across platform-filled stages.
• The hyperspace setting reworks medieval jousting into a sci-fi survival fight against alien opponents.
• Gameplay focuses on gaining the higher angle in each clash to dismount enemies and stay alive.
• HAL America’s NES version was sublicensed from Atari Corporation by HAL Laboratory.

The NES release connects the home-console version to the earlier Williams Electronics arcade property, giving Joust a clear place in early arcade-to-console history.
